I was reading to the kids after dinner tonight, like I try to do every night, and tonight's book was book 11 of the 39 Clues. This book, unfortunately, doesn't have true chapters. It has 4 short stories within one book and dot-dot-dots. Normally, I'd stop reading at the end of a chapter, but as this one has none, I tend to stop at the dot-dot-dots.
Now, it's become my children's favorite thing to ask me to read one more page, one more paragraph, one more sentence! And I obliged tonight. Here is the scrumptious morsel they heard:
"Goat manure, though no one's favorite substance, had the benefit of being soft."
